How we handle your information.
Send us a spec and we use it to quote the job, nothing more. Here is the plain-language version of what we collect and what we do with it.

Consumix (Pty) Ltd is a Cape Town supplier of industrial tools and consumables. This notice explains what we do with the information you give us, and the choices you have. It is written under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
The quote form on this site does not store anything. It writes your request into a WhatsApp message or an email, and nothing reaches us until you press send. When it does, we receive the details you chose to share: your name, company, email address, phone number, and the product specs or notes you include. We keep that correspondence, and any calls or emails, so we can help you.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics to understand which pages are useful. This does not identify you personally and sets no advertising cookies.
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, confirm stock, price the job, supply the goods, and keep the records a trade supplier needs to keep. We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.
We share your details only with the service providers that help us run the business, such as our email provider and WhatsApp Business, and only so they can perform that service for us. Where the law requires it, we may also share information with the authorities. We do not pass your data to third parties for their own marketing.
WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and messages you send us there may be processed on servers outside South Africa under Meta's own privacy terms. If you would rather your request stays off WhatsApp, use the email option on the form or email us directly.
We keep your information for as long as we are dealing with your enquiry or account, and after that for as long as we need it to meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. To make a request, or if you have a concern about how we handle your data, email us at sales@consumix.co.za and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
